A standard reverse parking sensor kit cannot be fitted to single or double cab pickup trucks because the sensor cable lengths are normally too short, the CPU (Control Box) needs to be mounted somewhere clean and dry, ideally in the cab. The standard "sensor to CPU" cable length is 3 metres, this kit is supplied with 7 metre cable lengths at no extra charge.

System Activation

When reverse gear is engaged the rear sensors are automatically activated.

Wiring and Installation

The components are supplied pre-plugged and ready to install, with the exception of the following two wires that must be connected to the vehicle:

Red Wire - Connect to the Reversing light positive feed.
Black Wire - Connect to a negative power supply (Ground/Car Body).

Notes regarding fitting Parking Sensors to Pick up's with metal bumpers:

(1) Only shied ("S" Type) sensors are recommended for use in metal bumpers.

(2) When the hole is drilled in the bumper, the bare metal must be treated with a suitable metal paint to prevent rust forming around the sensor.

(3) A kit with Long sensor leads is recommended for Pick up's so that the CPU can be mounted in the cab. The CPU should never be positioned behind the rear lights.
